無寧說這是一部電影，不如說是紀錄片，Sophia Loren的演出相當於寫實得將一個失望女人的痛苦忠實地呈現而非表演；攝影非常優美，那個臥室的佈置及傢俱實在非常有格調，只是這些都得靠金錢堆砌出來。那個女僕的簡單幾也話與終了的擺置晚餐很有畫龍點睛的效果。
