The life of Nikki (Ania Niedieck) - nerdy and nearly invisible math student - consists entirely of numbers and theories. To combat this, her therapist advises Nikki to enroll in a university sports class to exercise social interaction in a playful way. Since American football is the only class that's not full, she finds herself on the field of the Mermaids.
