以女佣Céleste的视角呈现普鲁斯特逐渐衰退的生命，有意思的是以Céleste的记忆为出发点，集中且重叠呈现多个同一场景不同时间和普鲁斯特生命状态的事件，如等待等场景，并非不是回应普鲁斯特本人的文字。另一个有意思的地方是我们从片中不得而知Céleste是否真的见过那些尊贵的客人，因此和普鲁斯特激烈的讨论是想象还是回忆也只靠猜测。但片子就像普鲁斯特衰败的过程一样，后来就不说了。。（歌德学院）
